Schools Out For Summer!

Tyson has graduated yet another year of preschool! (Two down...one to go!)
For the past two years I have done a co-op preschool with ladies in my neighborhood. It has been really nice to give Tyson something to do every Tuesday and Thursday.
But next year we are putting him in a "real" preschool! (We pay and I don't have to teach! YIPPEEE!) Lily eating A LOT of candy and the Graduation party!
She loved preschool too! When it was at our house she had to do what the big kids were doing! She had her own mat for circle time...she colored with them...and of course snack time was always a must!
The kids playing ABC Bingo at the party!
(My camera died after this, but they did a lot of fun things...
Bean bag toss, water balloon toss, cake walk, Popsicles, and played at a water table and on the playground! It was a great party!)

Lily so proud of her big brother!
Way to go Tyson! You are one smart kid!
Tyson's preschool class!

(I am not sure why we put them facing the sun??!!)

Ears!

Sweet little Lily had to get tubes yesterday!
I am always sad when I have to wake my sleeping babies, but we had to leave at 6:15am.
It was so quick, they got us checked in, we waited about 10 minutes, they got her baseline vitals, explained everything to me, wrapped her in a warm blanket and carried her away (screaming of course!)
15 minutes later they brought her to me.
The hardest part of me was when she was waking up. She was so uncomfortable in every position I held her and she was so confused on what had just happened to her!
We were home by 7:45. 30 Minutes drive time, 1 hour procedure time! Pretty awesome if you ask me! I am used to going to Brandon's throat/other procedures and being there for hours!
About an hour later she was back to our silly little Lily!
Playing in the waiting room. She didn't like the information bracelet she and I had to wear!

Nice mullet! I did attempt to put a clip in the front to help out the style!

She was our super patient!
Hopefully this is the end to ear infections!
7 or 8 (I can't remember) in the last 9 months! YUCK!

Target My Love!

I don't know about anyone else...but I love Target!
Sometimes it is not a good thing! I am always coming home with something I really didn't need! But, I LOVE IT!
Today I went to get prescriptions and a few other things.
3 Kids books, a beach mat and a few other frivolous things later we left!
I just can't help myself!
I love this store!

Ahhh New!

Before
Once we decided to take our house off the market last November, (we had it up for 6 months with one offer that was really low...bad market= bad time to sell!) and since we had no reason to move other than wanting to we decided to stay for another year or so.
Since we were staying, we decided to do some upgrading.
November we started with tile. Brandon tiled the laundry room and the two bathrooms upstairs! One big thing we learned from this experience is that we are not do it yourselfers!
We did multiple things wrong and it took way longer than we first thought! From here on out we are hiring people to do home improvements for us!
All in all I think it turned out pretty good! Better than the linoleum that was peeling up before!
This was one of the biggest headaches! The baseboards. We didn't take them off in the laundry room or the kids bathroom and ended up putting a new quarter round up against them and it turned out great, but in the master bath we decided to take them off (since it really was the right way to do it!) We have been told that they just pop off and then you just pop them back on when you are done! WRONG! Not in our house. These babies weren't put on with finishing nails, they were put on with 2-3inch staples! Once we started taking them off there was no going back! They were splitting and came off in pieces. We even dented the walls trying to pry them off!
Needless to say we had to buy new baseboards for our bathroom!

After!
The project is not officially done (still need to paint the quarter rounds in the kids bathroom!)
But all bathrooms were usable in March!
(November to March...we thought it would take us 3 or 4 weekends max!)
Along with tile we decided to re-carpet the whole house!
This was easier! In February, We (with the help of family and friends) moved all the furniture into the garage and non-carpeted rooms and ripped out the old carpet.
For 3 days the kids and I did everything we could think of to be out of the house. (nail strips and two small kids, not a good combo!)
The kids thought it was great! The night before the carpet came, we put our mattresses in the living room and had a "sleep over" on the floor, then pushed to mattresses into the kitchen when the installers came!
The new carpet is awesome! No spots...no wear pattern...no nothing!
AHHH it makes our house feel great!
The kids thought it was awesome!
Tyson does occasionally ask us if we can get the old carpet back!

Dancing on the new carpet! Silly kids!

Arizona

Over the weekend of April 24th we took a quick trip to Arizona to see the newest member of our family (cute little Trey) get sealed to Andi, Tate and Paige!
All of us were there except for Colin and Cori (we missed you guys!) Cori had a final that weekend so they couldn't make it, but all the grandchildren were able to be there. So of course Nana took the opportunity and got the kids yellow shirts and we snapped a few shots of them! (Look...this time Lily isn't crying!) In fact, Lily was a lot nicer to everyone this trip!
This would have never happened even a month ago... Lily is really starting to turn a new leaf and is nicer to people. It still takes her a little time, but this picture proves she is slowly moving away from the Mommy phase!
Lily and Addie were the best of friends this trip! Addie did such a great job helping me with our little stink!
The place we stayed at was a nice resort with great rooms...(they had a separate living room, separate bathroom and a large bedroom) The best part was the swimming pools. There were multiple little ones spread throughout the complex and one big one with a water slide. We spent a lot of time swimming and the kids loved it! It was a little chilly on the first day, but the water was heated so we swam and swam and swam! Tyson was a little fish! Coaxing him out of the water was not an easy task!

Lily loved the water too! She would get out and in and out and in...

She loves beach balls! That is basically all she played with in the pool!

Trey and Lily kept trading beach balls! These two are silly... they would fight with each other and copy what the other one would do, but yet they were great buddies too! Oh to be 1 1/2 again!

Tyson and Paige loved being thrown in the air!

Addie and Lily played a lot of catch on the stairs!

Here is the bottom of the water slide! It was fast and dark and fun!
(Tate's feet!)

Nana and cute Brinley! Little do they know a crazy guy is going to attack!

Lily and one of her classic tantrums! She really wanted to go into the hot tub!

Papa and all but 2 of his grandkids!
(Trey and Lily)

Cute Tyson waiting outside the Temple!
So we got to Arizona Thursday evening...went swimming, Friday...went swimming all day, Saturday they blessed Trey then they were sealed in the Mesa Temple!
Trey was so perfect in the temple! He was so happy and quiet and did everything he was supposed to do even though he wasn't sure what was happening (although being so young, he probably knew more than I think!)He just loved that he was with his Mom and Dad! It was an amazing experience!
I love this picture!
Brinley waiting outside the temple!

Chandler and Lily waiting!

The beautiful Mesa Temple!
I don't know if I have ever seen a temple without a steeple???

Tyson and Paige playing hide and seek!
(Tyson's favorite game right now!)

All the grandkids at the Temple!
(Lily's classic group picture face!)

After the Temple we got to party at Peter Piper Pizza!
The kids were in heaven!

Lily loving the rides!

Saturday afternoon...swimming again!
Good old Derek! What more can you say!

Me and Lily!
It was so nice to be swimming in April!
It did stink to come back to Utah and have winter weather instead of spring!!!
Saturday night Nana volunteered to watch all of the grandkids while Papa and the adults went out to dinner! It is always nice to get out once and a while without kids, so thanks Nana! You are one brave soul...but with McDonalds and cute grandkids I don't blame you!
When we got back from dinner (we ate at a place called Sauce. If you are ever in Arizona you should try it! The guys said it was chick food...and maybe it is, but it is delicious!)
When we got back the kids had been doing some plays and put a couple on for us. It was way to cute to see them act and get all embarrassed! Kids have the best imaginations!
Sunday we drove all the way home 11hrs total! ARG! But we made it!
Thanks Andi and Tate for letting us be a part of such a great day!
Congrats on being 100% official with Trey!
He is the perfect fit!
