St. Patty's Day

St. Patrick's Day was really low key. Tyson's cousins on Brandon's side were all in town from Colorado and Arizona and they were all going to the cabin with their Nana and Papa and Tyson was invited to go so on Thurs morning Brandon took Tyson to Nana and Papa's on the way to work. Lily was still asleep (and staying home with me for the weekend) so Tyson found his leprechaun treasure all by himself!
Lucky for Mom, the living room was clean so the silly leprechaun couldn't make too big a mess!
Tyson always wonders why the leprechauns footprints are made of paper and taped onto things??!! Silly Leprechaun!
Once Lily woke up she went on the same hunt and found her treasures!
She is in such a grateful stage of life!
She found her shirt and said, "I love it Mom, Thank you, Thank you!"
She loves new clothes! That's my girl!!
Happy St. Patrick's day!

So, I really can't believe how fast kids grow up! I feel like I just started having kids and they are already passing big milestones!
The past two weekends Brandon has taken Tyson out and now I have a big kid riding on two wheels!
Brandon had to be really careful with his approach because Tyson is the type that if anything goes bad it can be rather traumatic and he won't do it again. So the first time they went out Brandon held on the whole time until the very end, but didn't tell Tyson until after they were done. Tyson was so excited that he did it all by himself!! He asked me how proud I was of him and I held out my arms huge and he said, "I wish you said you were as proud as infinity and beyond times 100" I told him of course I was!
The next week Brandon only had to hold onto him once and he was off! Now Brandon and Tyson ride the neighborhood together! I love it!
What a big kid!
Way to go Tyson!!

She's a big girl now!

We started a week ago Saturday with the potty training process! I have to admit that potty training is my least favorite part of being a parent! I would almost be content changing diapers until they were 5! (Not really, but I dislike potty training that much!) I really shouldn't complain, my kids caught on really quick with really very minimal accidents!
Lily did a really good job! Of course the first couple of days there were a lot of accidents, but by day 3 and 4 there were only 1 accident each and since day 5 she has not had one accident! (knock on wood somewhere!)
She really loves wearing her big girl underpants! (I really dislike the word panties for some reason, but I have been calling them panties anyways. I guess it just sounds appropriate for little girls!!)
Don't you love her heals with her panties?! She loved wearing them with just panties on. Brandon wondered what kind of girl we were raising?! A darn cute one if you ask me! (Don't worry the flat iron is not on she is just pretending! She never touches it when it is hot!!)
Lily and her potty chart. She got to put a sticker on the chart every time she went #1 and she got a prize every time she went #2. She had 8 prizes and got them all in the first 5 days! She caught on pretty quick!! We also enjoyed a potty dance celebration after each successful potty time!!
Good job Lily! We are so proud of you!!

First Haircut!

So, I finally took Lily to get her first haircut. I haven't wanted to do it because I didn't want her to grow up too fast, but when her hair is not pulled up it is in desperate need of a haircut/style!
She loves brushing her pretty hair!
Cute little stink!
You can tell Tyson is in desperate need of a haircut too, hiding around the corner!!
It is hard to see, but her hair has gotten about half-way down her back!
Cookie Cutters is our favorite! I was expecting some resistance and tears, but she was fantastic!!
She cut off the extra long stuff and blended the existing layers!
Then she did a little twist braid in the front!
What a cute little girl! She looks so much more grown up to me! (sigh!)
