Preschool Graduation!

Tyson had his preschool graduation last Wednesday and for me it was a little bitter - sweet!
I am sad he won't be going to preschool 3 days a week...(poor kid is already bored and summer break just barely started!!) But it was so cute to see our little guy being so big! I am so proud of him for all that he has learned this year!
Lily wished she was in the program too!

Some people may think I was crazy for taking Tyson to a preschool in Lindon (about 17mins away from my house, so I was driving a little over an hour 3 days a week to drop him off and pick him up and get Lily home for her snoozes!) But let me tell you it was more than worth it!!
His teacher went above and beyond! She took pictures of each kid doing each activity and made a scrapbook of the kids and all their art projects!
They did the coolest things...
milked a cow Mrs. Allred made herself
had dirt and worms in the sensory table one day
had a "family" camping trip in the preschool in real tents with forest animals too
went on an airplane (she made one whole wall in her preschool look like an airplane)
and they went on field trips every month!
Just to name a few things
She would re-do her preschool every week with toys and equipment to match what they were learning for the week! (I have no idea where she stored all her stuff!) I expected him to learn the alphabet and #'s for preschool, but he learned more than I could ever imagine!!

Tyson was the ladies man! (There were 2 boys and 11 girls in his class!)
On field trips he always seemed to be holding a girls hand and some girls would draw him pictures at home and give them to him!
Here he is holding this little girls hand before they recited their nursery rhyme!

He recited Little Boy Blue!
He did a great job! Loud and clear and not too fast!

I loved this part...they sang a song about a tree and every time they would say limb he had to play his instrument! He was right on each time but had to make sure he didn't hit anyone around him since it took some force to make it make noise!

Another song and dance in masks and with noise makers they made!

I love how hard he is concentrating on his music!

Waiting for his turn to get his diploma!

They studied insects the last week of class and grew painted butterflies. Each child got to hold one when they received their diploma!

Tyson, Elsie and Ava! Thanks to Elsie's Mom we knew about this preschool!
Thanks Megan! What an awesome preschool! I couldn't have found a better one!
We would drive Elsie and Ava to their babysitter that lived just around the corner from preschool! They all became good friends!

Tyson and Mrs. Allred!
If she is still teaching and we haven't moved to Salt Lake County when Lily is old enough we will be going to her again!

Proud parents!
(What is up with my beady eyes in every picture lately?!?)

Can't leave Lily out!
(Macy was there too...just sleeping!)
Way to go Tyson we are so proud of you!!

Things Tyson has learn this year...
-to write his first and last name, phone # and almost whole address himself
-all his letters upper and lowercase recognition and sounds
-counts to 100
-recognizes all #'s to 100
-knows all his shapes (including trapezoid and others I had forgotten about!!)
-knows days of week and months
-recognizes th sh wh ch and their sounds
-rhymes like no ones business
-does simple math (addition and subtraction)
-reads preschool/kindergarten books
-and knows an amazing amount of facts he learned through out the year!

In April I went to the What Women Want Expo and Cooking show with my grandma and sister. While walking around the expo I signed up for any drawing. Well I finally won something! It was a newborn photo shoot! A $95 value!
She came when Macy was 5 days old and had them done for me a few days later (since she was going to have her baby any day!)
Here are my favorites!

I am really happy with the outcome!

Macy Anne!

(The traditional picture when we get to the hospital!)
Macy Anne Russell
5/5/11
1:46am
8lbs 5oz
20 1/2 inches

So, I guess Macy got the message from my last blog post because she decided to start her arrival the next day! I had cleaned the whole house that morning, took Tyson to preschool, picked him up and was going to vacuum but decided to let the kids play outside with the next door neighbor. While I was talking to the other Mom and watching the kids play I started feeling cramps so I had the kids clean up and we headed inside so I could lay down. After about 30 minutes of laying down and realizing that the cramps were coming and going at a rather consistent rate I called Brandon to let him know I thought she might be coming.
He was just about to call me to see if it was OK for him to stop and get a haircut on the way home, but nope, change of plans we would be going to the hospital! Bad news was there was an accident on the freeway and he was at a stand still. It made both of us a little nervous since I had been dilated to a 4 for 6 days and thought I would go pretty quick once contractions started.
I decided to jump in the shower and get cleaned up while waiting and Brandon came home and packed up the kids. We were worried about Brandon's Mom getting stuck in traffic so we took the kids to our neighbors house (Thanks Requel!) until Brandon's Mom could get there. They were there for maybe 10 minutes when his Mom got there...I guess we could have waited!
We got to the hospital and I expected them to tell me I was a 7 or something...nope I was a "solid" 4! WHAT! So they called my Doctor and they decided to "watch" me for the next hour. There was no way I was going home! I knew I was having contractions and they were starting to make me shake. So after 50 minutes I had the nurse check me (because of the shaking) and she said..."lets call it a 5" THANK YOU! So I finally got to have my epidural which I was shaking while he was doing it so I had Brandon come hold my hands. I was squeezing him when it was uncomfortable and he was worried about his dinner breath on me so he almost passed out from not breathing and the pain of me holding on so tight!
We then had to wait for the two doses of antibiotics to be given to me 4 hours apart, since I was group B strep positive!
Fast forward 4 hours later, they check me again and I am only a 6! SERIOUSLY! So they called my Doctor to come and break my water. She did and told us to get some sleep! Well, 30 minutes later Macy was here!
They were worried because of the color of the amniotic fluid so they called in the Respiratory team just in case she swallowed some coming out so they could get it all out of her lungs and avoid her getting Pneumonia. Luckily she came out screaming so no fluid swallowing for her!
She came out looking exactly like Tyson did! She now has her own little look! And I think it is pretty darn cute!

We both love holding these little tiny bundles that love to curl up on you!

Tyson love love loves his new baby sister!

Lily has grown to love her! At first she kept asking Nana if Baby Macy could go to her house and not ours!

Her first home bath! She really doesn't like to be naked or changed!

All clean, dressed and content!

So far she is such a good baby! She naps great! The nights are already getting better! She looks around in her bouncer taking everything in! Just a very content little one!

We are all already totally in love with our Macy!

Baby where are you??

I am more than ready for this baby girl to come! I went to my Dr. last Thursday and I was dilated to a 4 and about 85% effaced and I thought we were going to have her over the weekend! How long can I walk around at a 4 with my 3rd baby?!?
Well apparently a week!!!! Crazy little girl doesn't want to come out!
This morning I cleaned all the bathrooms (again) I plan on moping the kitchen floor while Lily is snoozing, then vacuuming when we get home from preschool pick-up!
The house will be ready (for the umpteenth time!)

Her room is all ready!
My Amazing Mom-in-law made her bedding!
I Love Love Love it!
She always does way more than I would ever imagine and I love it so much!

She even makes the bumper pads super cute!!!

My sister helped me make vinyl daisies to go with Lily's nursery saying. I wanted a little more color on the walls, there is a lot of brown in the nursery!

I decided to put the babies name up on the wall and cover the letters with the same fabric as her bedding, but I knew the kids would want to "help" with the painting of the letters so I let them pick out some wood shapes to paint while I painted the letters!
Lily did a heart and star with every color mixed together!
She was so proud and excited to show Dad when he got home!
Tyson chose a fish and palm tree and was rather artistic about his paint job!

Once he was done he had a "great idea" (his words!) to make it into a picture!
He is so creative!
And here is how my project turned out! Our little one is going to be Macy! I love how her name turned out with the fabric on it!
So, Macy, we are ready for you whenever you are ready to come! (If you don't come by Friday, we are coming for you!)
